Professional training

Aviation Detailing Association

Built on ADA Professional Standards

An aircraft is not a large car. Aviation-specific training is the difference between a clean airframe and an expensive discovery at the next inspection.

The Aviation Detailing Association sets the recognised professional standard for this trade — methodology, chemistry qualification, and safe handling around systems that keep an aircraft airworthy. We work to that standard because the alternative is improvisation on a multi-million-dollar asset.

  • Training built for airframes

ADA curriculum covers what automotive detailing never addresses: composite panels, sealant joints, static wicks, pitot-static systems, antennas, and control-surface balance.

  • Chemistry that is qualified, not assumed

Cleaners and coatings are evaluated against aviation material compatibility — not marketing gloss claims — so nothing attacks paint, acrylic, or bonded structure.

  • A repeatable, auditable standard

Certification means the process is written down and followed the same way on every aircraft, by every technician, on every visit.

Trained method

Knowledge first, then the aircraft

The ADA curriculum is taught in job sequence: foundation knowledge before any surface is touched, then hands-on modules in the order the work actually happens.

The ADA methodology is developed and approved by A&P/IAs, aviation OEM manufacturers, and aviation insurance providers.

Foundation — knowledge before touching an aircraft

  • Aviation safety fundamentals

Safety protocols for working on and around aircraft, taught before any surface is touched.

  • Aircraft systems identification

Control surfaces and components identified by name, function, and sensitivity.

  • Professional tools and equipment

Selection, use, and maintenance of pads and compounds appropriate to the surface.

  • Aviation-grade chemical knowledge

Aircraft-safe, manufacturer-approved products rather than transferred automotive chemistry.

  • Standard operating procedures

Written procedures so the same work is performed the same way for consistency and safety.

  • Insurance and risk management

Aviation business insurance and risk management as part of the professional standard.

Hands-on modules, taught in real job sequence

  1. Module 01

    Brightwork and de-icing systems

Component-specific work on the parts of the airframe that are least forgiving of a generic approach.

    • Brightwork restoration to OEM specifications
    • De-icing boot care and maintenance protocols
    • Component-specific approaches rather than one method across the airframe
  2. Module 02

    Interior systems

Cabin and cockpit work performed in sequence so contamination is not moved from one surface to the next.

    • Defined cleaning sequences
    • Carpet stain removal
    • Leather conditioning
    • Contamination prevention between zones
  3. Module 03

    Exterior paint enhancement and protection

Correction and protection using chemistry and abrasives qualified for aircraft finishes.

    • Aviation-specific chemical application
    • Pad and compound selection matched to the finish
    • OEM-compliant protective coating systems
    • Final inspection and quality control
